Blueprint Company Blueprint Build Glossary
Shared vocabulary for architecture tools, transforms, and plot sharing.
This Build Glossary defines the language Blueprint players and testers use for architecture tools. Pair it with the Tools Hub overview and the Build Tools Tier List when you need rankings instead of definitions. Terms reflect public demos and Carrd facts for Rillcore’s Blueprint during private testing; expect refinements after public testing.
Plot & session basics
Plot — Your buildable claim. Official size: 1024×1024 studs. Large enough for estates, campuses, and landscaped parks.
Hub / My Plots — UI flow for creating a plot (name, description, tags) and managing saves. Privacy can be set toward private, friends-only, or public in previewed UI.
PC-first — Core building precision targets desktop; mobile support is planned after PC features mature.
No money system / no gamepasses — Design pillars: creative tools are not gated behind currency. See Codes Hub for why promo codes are absent.
Structure tools
Walls — Vertical structure segments placed on a fine grid. Small grid sizes enable miniature builds and crisp modules.
Floors / ceilings — Horizontal planes that stack into multi-story shells. Community demos highlight going many floors up, then adding basement depth for even more vertical range.
Fine grid — Subdivision level for walls, roofs, and floors. Smaller steps mean tighter detailing and alignment.
Basement tool — Downward volume creation with interior build support. Used for true basements, tunnels, undercrofts, and experimental negative space—not only “cellar” aesthetics.
Roofing vocabulary
Gable roof — Classic two-slope roof; hollow versions open interior volume.
Hollow gable + skylight — Community favorite pairing: inhabitable roof volume with light apertures.
Hip roof — Slopes inward on multiple sides; useful for polished second-story massing.
Pyramid roof / hollow pyramid — Four-sided peak with optional hollow interior for dramatic lofts.
Hollow Pyramid Roof — Pyramid family with inhabitable or open interior volume; pairs with skylights and loft storytelling the same way hollow gables do. Practice under Roofs, Floors & Pools.
Overhang (per side) — Independent eave depth controls for asymmetric silhouettes.
Roof thickness / height / rotation — Per-piece transforms before or during placement that separate Blueprint roofs from static free models.
Water & exterior
Pool tool — Creates swimmable water volumes. Parameters commonly shown: depth, water color, transparency, wave speed, wave height, and pool wall color.
Water beyond pools — Same system stretched into rivers, lakes, and experimental features when builders ignore the “rectangle backyard” default.
Landscaping — Scalable hills, rocks, and outdoor softscape that break flat pads and sell biome context. Full site guide: Landscaping.
Landscaping Hill / Rock — Outdoor massing props, commonly scalable, used for ridges, berms, courtyard boulders, and bank fiction around water. Treat as site infrastructure, not afterthought clutter.
Atmosphere items — Props oriented toward mood—especially around pools and night scenes.
Selection, transform, and props
Multi-select — Select several objects to move or transform together. Core to kitbashing furniture sets.
Scaling — Free resize of eligible items so catalog pieces fit rooms or become monumental props. Most objects scale; doors and windows often stay on dedicated systems. Deep dive: Scaling & Transform.
Advanced Transform — Broader move/rotate/scale stack beyond simple placement. Used with multi-select to keep furniture sets proportional and to invent custom millwork fiction without paywalled tools.
Scaling / advanced transform (combined use) — Resize and manipulate eligible items together; public notes describe broad scaling with exceptions (for example some doors/windows kept on dedicated systems). Single-part props can scale to extreme sizes for sculptures or mega rocks.
Furniture catalog — Placeable interior/exterior objects supplied by studio and community modelers. Consistency across sets matters for coherent rooms. See Furniture & Decals.
Decal / Painting ID — Roblox asset ID (or preset competition art) applied to frames or surfaces for murals, gallery walls, and tracing. Only use IDs you have rights to; follow Roblox TOS. Workflow: Furniture & Decals.
Decals — Images applied to surfaces or frames; community art competitions have fed preset painting options. Overlaps with Decal / Painting ID when custom imports are involved.
Materials / textures — Surface definitions that change read of concrete, wood, metal, fabric, and more. Versatile textures support multiple styles from one catalog.
Lighting & presentation
Lighting tools / mood lighting — Fixtures and settings that shape night tours and interior photography. Rising importance for creators.
Showcase framing — Not a single button—means composing camera paths, hiding clutter, and lighting S-tier roofs/pools for TikTok or YouTube.
Collaboration & access terms
Private testing — Current limited access with applications, 18+, and NDA per Carrd.
Public testing — Wider upcoming access; applications open when a wave/release starts (not now); applicants accepted in waves with light device and anti-troll checks. Watch Discord and Public Testing.
/apply — Discord application entry for testers, modelers, and content creators.
Suggestion form — Official Google Form (and Discord suggestions) for feature ideas—listed on Links.
NDA — Non-disclosure agreement binding private testers; leak responsibly (meaning: do not).
How to study with this glossary
- Pick five terms you cannot explain in one sentence.
- Find each in a Riley TikTok or creator video (challenge footage embedded here shows pacing under time pressure).
- Rank those five on the tier list.
- Write one suggestion that references the exact term.
- Teach a friend using only glossary language—no vague “that roof thing.”
Shared vocabulary makes bug reports sharper (“hollow hip overhang clips at thickness X”) and helps modelers target missing sets.
Glossary boundaries
We do not define executor APIs, stolen asset dumpers, or fake currency consoles. Those belong to scam space, not Blueprint’s toolset. If a term appears only on malware sites, it will not be added here.
We also avoid inventing unreleased tool names. When Riley ships a named mode, we will add a dated entry after verifying behavior.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
How big is a Blueprint plot?
Officially 1024×1024 studs according to Rillcore’s Carrd FAQ.
What is a hollow gable roof?
A gable roof variant with inhabitable interior volume, often paired with skylights in community showcases.
Can pools be more than backyard rectangles?
Yes. Depth and wave/color controls let builders push rivers, lakes, and custom water features.
What does multi-select do?
It lets you select multiple objects and transform them together—essential for scaling furniture sets and complex compositions.
Where do I apply to test these tools?
